Here at Cheeky Monkeys Day Nursery & Pre School we are able to accept ALL types of Childcare Scheme Vouchers.
What are childcare vouchers?
If you work and pay for childcare, your employer might be able to help with some of your childcare costs. Childcare vouchers are one way they can do this.
Leaflet IR115 from HMRC explains more about childcare vouchers, and the other ways employers can help with childcare.
A Childcare Voucher scheme provides savings for employers and employees, making it the most popular, cost effective way for employers to engage working parents.
Looking after your children is one of the most rewarding but exhausting jobs in the world. If you are one of the millions of working parents, you’ll probably be worried about the extra cost of childcare. With the cost of living soaring and more working parents than ever before, it hardly comes as a surprise that Childcare Vouchers are becoming one of the most popular benefits employers can offer working parents.
Working parents can benefit from significant tax and NI savings of up to £1,195 a year using Childcare Vouchers, and up to double the amount if both parents are part of a Childcare Vouchers scheme.
How do Childcare Vouchers work?
The process of receiving and paying with childcare vouchers is designed to be simple and straightforward for both employers and employees. Most employers who provide childcare vouchers do so through a salary sacrifice scheme. This means you agree to reduce your salary by a certain value, and receive childcare vouchers to the same value but pay no tax or National Insurance on these vouchers.
To join your employer’s childcare vouchers scheme you first of all need to complete a salary sacrifice agreement. Your employer will give you directions on how to do this. After your agreement has been submitted to your employer, they will reduce your salary by the requested amount and arrange for vouchers to be provided to you.
